Abaca & CTI partnership for Ribble Packaging

Ribble Packaging has successfully implemented our Packaging 3000 software at their six acre site in Oldham, England. With an annual turnover of £17 million producing some 45 million square metres of corrugated it was decided that a new integrated software system was needed. Packaging 3000 was selected as the business system with our business partners, CTI handling the duplex knife corrugator scheduling and shop floor data collection. Ribble now have the ability to manage paper stocks and finished goods using our RF3000 bar-coding system. Being a customer service driven business, Ribble use customer due dates combined with transport planning as the basis for what is needed from the production scheduling system.


Middle East breakthrough

CaesarPac Carton and Paper Products of Kuwait have a strategy to increase output from 3000 to 5000 tonnes per month. To help manage this growth they have opted for our Packaging 3000 business system integrated with CTI’s corrugator and shop floor scheduling systems Data is passed between the two systems in real time ensuring all parts of the business are working with up to date information. Goods inward and despatch will be using our RF3000 bar coded stock system to ensure speedy and accurate stock control. The implementation began on the 12th of September and the system will be live on January 12th 2009. This represents not only a step forward for Caesar Pac but also opens a new marketplace for Abaca.


3rd Encase site for Packaging 3000

Encase Holdings Ltd have completed the roll-out of Packaging 3000 across the group with the installation at their sheet plant in Strathclyde, Scotland. Their integrated plants at Banbury and Leeds have been running the system since 2006. With each of the sites now running the same software the benefits off common reporting and the ability to access share data can be taken full advantage of.


Durham Box

Durham Box, a privately owned sheet plant in the North East of England, has gone from strength to strength since it was founded by Michael Morris in 1989, and along with new machinery and expanding premises they have started to implement Packaging 3000 software to help manage their growing company. Ecommerce system beta testing

W.E. Roberts Packaging Supplies in Kent and Challenge Packaging in East Sussex are two existing customer who are testing our latest development. ePack3000 is an ecommerce system which allows customers to place orders and check order status via the internet. Payment can be taken by credit card for new customers or billed to existing accounts. ePack3000 gives our customers the ability to project Packaging 3000 over the internet without needing a separate web site. Every product or price change in Packaging 3000 is immediately reflected through ePack3000. We provide a design service to customise ePack3000 to your corporate image so that it is an extension to your existing web site.


RF3000 Bar Coding system update

We are pleased to announce that of the 22 integrated plants using Packaging 3000, we have to date received orders from 16 for the RF3000 bar-coding system. The product is now being implemented at a number of our sheet plant customers.


Revamp for Shop Floor data collection

A number of customers have now implemented Packaging 3000’s improved shop floor data collection software allowing real time collection of production data directly from the machine operators via touch screen terminals mounted next to their machines. This in conjunction with our latest production scheduling software has streamlined the whole production department. Internal sales can now see the progress of a job through the factory in real time greatly improving Customer service. The improvements also enable production to operate in paperless environment as the production schedule, drawings, palletisation information and special instructions can be viewed at the terminals. Another new feature is the ability to consume raw materials from the stock system by scanning pallet labels using scanners attached to the terminals.
